North Solihull Regeneration

Regenerating North Solihull

Regenerating north Solihull is a 15-year project to transform the wards of Chelmsley Wood, Smith's Wood, Kingshurst and Fordbridge by creating jobs and improving homes, shops, schools, health facilities, community facilities, transport and the environment.

This is one of the UK's biggest ever regeneration programmes

  • affecting almost 40,000 people
  • involving £1.8 billion of public and private investment over the next 15 years
  • building 8,500 new homes
  • building state-of-the-art primary schools
  • creating vibrant village centres.

Who is involved?

The North Solihull Partnership is leading this work. They are

  • Solihull Council
  • Bellway Homes - a UK house builder
  • Inpartnership Ltd - regeneration company
  • Whitefriars Housing Group - a not-for-profit housing and regeneration organisation.
